Extravagant Africa Fashion

I missed African Fashion Week 2016! This extravaganza was held from Thursday, August 18 to Sunday, August 21 in Toronto.  It was one of the events at the top of my list, but due to unfortunate circumstances, I wasn't able to attend this year.  Therefore I had to post photos of beautiful African fashion this week to give me just a little taste of what I've missed.

Anyway, my daughter and I found out about Akoma Multicultural Food and Dance Festival being held Saturday at Chinguacousy Park in Brampton (in Ontario).    While walking around the park, we ran into a young lady.  I admired her skirt from a distance, and as we walked closer, we saw the banner "Miss Ghanian Canadian".  I asked if she won the contest.  The young lady told us the pageant is being held at the City Playhouse Theatre in Vaughan (Ontario).  If any of you are interested in attending, the pagaent will be held September 9, 2016, starting at 6:30 pm.

Noteworthy Looks for New Year's Eve

 A belated Merry Christmas to you all!  My first post for December 2015 (and running out of time, so maybe the only for this month. Wishing to post next week before the end of the year).  Hope your Christmas was fantastic. Mine was good.  I gave an hour of my time to help others, and spent the rest of the day with family.
