Summer Dressing

I haven't worn a dress for so long.... I wear blouses with skirts, but I couldn't tell you the last time I've worn a dress.  That has to be corrected this summer.  My daughter noticed an increased amount of ladies at the church we've visited (my son was visiting another church ) for a while wearing skirts and dresses yesterday (which happened to be Fathers Day and also the first day of summer).  I'm going to perceive it as the ladies wanting to dress up for their husbands in honor of Fathers Day.  I said to my daughter that I'm going to make a dress to wear ( I'll try and make that 3 dresses).  A change in a person's life/ routine is nice, and 2015 has been a year of quite a bit of change for me (good changes).

All White Attire

I have a friend I hadn't seen for many years.  I'd wonder where he was and what he was up to.  Well, suddenly, early this year, we reconnected! He's still the same old, fun comedian.  At least one thing has changed about him- he loves to wear all white.  At first I thought it was unusual, but then I found the all white look somewhat appealing.  It's definately an attention getter.  It's clean, and for spring and summer, it's fresh and light with a cooling effect in thought if not physically.  I think I like it.

70's Inspired

I've been watching alot of dvds for some time, and right now I'm into the 60's, 70's and 80's comedies.  One of my favorite is the Mary Tyler Moore Show, a 1970 comedy.....yes, this African Canadian likes Mary Tyler Moore ...now.  I didn't appreciate it, obviously, during its time as I was a child.  Now I appreciate the show in my adulthood.

I love the dresses that the lead character wore on the show, including alot of color block dresses in unusual color combinations (well, unusual to us today) which worked.  The 70's inspiration seems to be back today in clothing and furniture (saw an article in a newspaper about 70's inspired furniture being the way to go).  And so here are a few very attractive 70's style clothes for spring 2015.

Bag Fetish

 If I had the closet space, I'd probably have more bags than I currently do.  I'm always hearing of ladies who just have the need to buy and collect shoes, but I never could relate.  Shoes aren't my thing.  Now, ladies who collect bags I can relate to. Turning Scarves into Dresses

 I saw an article on scarf dresses last week, so that is what inspired me to look for dresses made from scarves or the fabric for scarves. The dresses are colorful, fluid and delicate. Very pretty. Very spring and summer.

Dressing Up for Easter - Girls Edition

The Easter holiday is just around the corner.  I hope the weather will be wonderful, at least on Easter Sunday and Monday.  That way the girls can show more of their lovely dresses outside as they will inside.  

Girls, from toddlers to size 16, have an assortment of gorgeous dresses made for them in every shade of the rainbow.  My little girl is now a young lady, but I still love looking at the sweet, pretty dresses for the little ladies' in training.
