Crossbody Bags - Many Variations

Crossbody bags... I love them.  They can be big enough to carry books, they can be small enough, a wallet on a string, to carry only money, lip balm and kleenex.  I much prefer the latter.  Don't like carrying too much with me, and this need increases as I get older.

I remember carrying a medium sized bag, say, 4 years ago.  I would like to know what I stuffed in it, it was heavy.  Then maybe 3 years ago, I decided to lighten my load and bought the small bags, one in white, one bright green, one in black and one taupe.  But I started to find it  annoying to constantly have my hands holding the short strap bags while shopping, while looking for my wallet to pay the cashier, ect.  When I decided to finally use my flat crossbody black bag I had ordered from Avon, revelation!  I was so pleased with my free hands and the fewer items I carried.  It's time for another crossbody bag for me. What color should I get?

Color and Print - Mens' Cotton Shirts

All right, I'm not sure what or who inspired me to look at mens' shirts this week.  My brother went clothes shopping today, but, no, I've had the urge to research mens' shirts from earlier in the week.  I'm sure I must have seen a man's inspirational shirt this week which sent me down this road.

Men may not have a lot of different silhouettes to wear, like we women do, but there seems to be a variety of prints and colors in cotton shirts.  I'd like the uncommon colors to be used more, like navy blue, hunter green, brown, and taupe as well as graphic prints for mens' shirts.

The Colors of Fall and Winter 2010 - 2011

According to  Millionlooks.com, the colors for the fall and winter season for 2010 - 2011 are:  black, white, red, yellow, beige, blue, pink, grey, orange, brown and green.  I think that means every color existing is in fashion this fall and winter.    This should make life a bit more simple for those of us on a budget.  We've got some, if not all, of those colors in our wardrobe already.     Fashiontrendsetter.com, one of the fashion forcasting websites,  have names for their colors like tea rose, deep plum, gray mist, golden bronze, pecan and Prussian blu (I didn't spell blue wrong; that's how it's spelled on the website).

Here are some more popular colors for fall and winter 2010 and 2011 in visual form:

Plum - dress by Donna Ricco

I remember wanting women to wear more color during the winter months.  I may have received my wish this winter season.  Till next bog!

If I Could Collect Handbags...

I'm a frugal person by necessity.  But if I had the funds to buy what I wanted rather than what I needed, I would have a big collection of bags.  This is the accessory that I find has a purpose, (besides the belt) though I believe we women get carried away with it.  What exactly do we put in the gigantic bags that have been in style for some time?

I find the bigger the bag I carry, the more I put in it.  When I thought about it, I didn't really need everything in there.  This summer I've been using a flat black shoulder bag from Avon (it's about 4 years old now) which forced me to use a smaller wallet (actually it's a little purse) and all I bring with me now is a lip balm, handcream, my phone book, sunglasses, business cards,  my cell phone, a mirror, pen, and any slim small booklet that I can read if travelling (that still sounds like a lot, but it fits in the slim bag).   What do men carry?  Themselves and a wallet in the back pocket.

Here are some fun colorful bags I took a fancy to.  I love the ALDO line of bags which can be found at www.amazon.com.  The prices for most of these bags are under $40.00.  What a bargain!
