Less to Carry on Your Next Trip...

Helene Clarkson has designed clothes for the traveling woman made from easy to care for fabrics that are   reversible!  The number of clothing pieces needed for the get away is cut in half.  Just love the thought that went into Helene's collection... don't you?   Helene Clarkson's website is: www.heleneclarkson.com.

Lovely Spring Collection

I found these beautiful clothes, I believe, on New York Magazine website.  They are fantastic!  Very new looks in terms of silhouettes, details and use of stripe and print fabrics.

These dresses, pants and tops are so fashion forward!

Mature Men Fashioning

It's not only the young that have fashion sense.  Older men and women have it too, and we need to see more of the mature age group, in photos online and in magazines, showing their wonderful styles.  Mature men are featured today, and don't they look fine?

Looking at Spring Jackets

Greatly relieved to experience 6 - 9 degrees Celcius temperatures the past few days!  I'm starting to think about what to make for my spring wardrobe.  I have a spring jacket (actually it's the length of a spring coat) that I have to alterate.  Which got me thinking about the jackets women may be wearing for spring 2015.  Let's have a look at a few...

Playful Stripes Galore!

It's amazing to me how as one gets older, one starts liking things not previously liked.  Now, I haven't been a fan of striped women's clothing for so long, as the striped clothes consisted of two colors of horizontal stripes in the same width on t-shirts, and ladies striped dress shirts for the office.  Basic clothing staples.

Watching Project Runway's 10th season, episode 6, online, what do I see Heidi Klum wearing?  This fantastic knit dress with various sized stripes, in three colors,  running in diagonal and horizontal directions.  Fantastic!  I now love stripes.  And I found more playfully striped clothing that suit the millenium and that I would dare to wear.

Just Delightful!

Yesterday, parts of eastern Canada and the US were hit with a snow storm.  My city usually misses the bad weather and areas around us are affected, but this time my city received quite a few centimetres of snow we haven't seen much of for about 4 years.  I don't mind the snow; I   used to get through the winter skating and tobogganning with my kids.  They're too old for that now, and so I'm so so ready for spring.

I was looking through a fashion magazine and saw a beautiful couture dress that just shouts "Spring!".  Can't wait for it!  Here are some ethereal dresses that makes me wait impatiently for that lovely season.  I just had to post two pictures from designer Georges Habeika; he has quite a few ethereal dresses in his collection.

I'll Wear These Bright Hues If...

Canada Day was this past Friday, and as I grow older, I appreciate being a Canadian.  Belated Happy Canada Day!  For the US, Happy Fourth of July!  You all know (well, the Canadians anyway) that the Canadian flag is red and white.  I have no problem with that.  I have a problem with red clothing though...let me add orange to the list.

Nothing against those who love those colors.  I just find red and orange very loud and demanding attention, and I'm kind of low key.  My challenge today was to find red and orange clothes that I would consider wearing.  The solution for me?  Both red and orange fabrics must be combined with other colors.  That I can live with.

Designers, just add a little more length to the dresses for us modest women.
