Beguiling Blazers for Men

It's exciting to preview what will be worn on the stylish people in the following season.  I had a look at some of the top designers men's collections for spring and summer 2013 online, and I have to say, the men's collections are more colorful  with more experimental details.  Well, it's about time!   The men's blazers, for instance, are color blocked, have contrasting colors, have graphic prints, and also match the shade of the shirt underneath for a very uniform look.  I also saw a vintage blazer on Facebook by Apostolic Clothing, and it's put together with other unique pieces that makes it a very attractive garment many men would love to own.

Can't Go Through Winter Without a Hat

Wearing hats for the winter season is an easy way to update your wardrobe, whether inside or outdoors.   The variety is wonderful, there's got to be a style for even the fussiest among us.  Top fashion designers pair knit hats and fedoras with dresses and pant ensembles. Hats aren't just for outdoors anymore.  With so many styles from knit caps to  fur hats, everyone should be wearing a hat for the winter 2012-13 season.

Old Meets New - African Print Fashion

African fabrics, traditionally draped and tied to be worn in the past, have, for some time, been transformed into many clothing silhouettes.  The bright colors, intricate patterns and geometric shapes on clothe have gained popularity throughout the world since 2010.  I must say, the combination of traditional African prints and current clothes are a lively and wonderful combination.

Some Favorite Looks

I haven't been posting for a while, have I?  Other things have occupied my time, but now I'm glad to be posting more fashion pics this week.

I found some nice metallic look dresses, lovely combinations including leather pieces,  as well as a spectacular print outfit.  Just wanted to share.

I just have to mention that I'm very glad that Vogue Magazine used a mature model to present two pieces from a top designer's collection.  We need to see more mature models.  Till next blog!

Accent Your Fall with Leather

Fall and the cool weather that comes with it is here once again. The old as time leather is back again as well with another use in fashion.  Instead of being the main attraction, it's combined with other materials for a combined new look of comfort and strength.  Can't get any better!

Accent your fall with leather.

Urban Fashion 2012: Men's Edition...

I saw a current GQ magazine cover featuring Denzel Washington on Facebook, and he is looking very sharp and sophisticated in the double breasted suit.  I can't believe he's 57 years old, he looks about 47!  (I find people looking younger than their ages now a days...)

Well, I wanted to focus on suits for men, but I was steered to urban fashion.  City clothes has so many personalities, from street clothes to three piece suits.  It's a fun category of fashion.

Art in Fabric Form - Avante Garde

For the past few weeks I've been watching Project Runway season 1 to the current one I'm watching now, season 7.  I have season 8; season 9 I don't have for some reason, and now I'm sorry I don't.  I'll make sure I have season 10 when it comes out though.

Season 4 and another season, I think season 7, had challenges to make avante garde clothing.  These were some of my favorite episodes. Guess what my blog is about today?  Yes, you've guessed it, avante garde designs.  Bold and way out there, some of these clothes were made solely (I think) to entertain the audience.  I'm sure a few people would wear them in this present time, although a few of the clothes shouldn't be worn until the year 2020.
