The Facts of Life Facts of Fashion

I'm an absolute fan of The Facts of Life television series.  I remember waiting eagerly for the new episode to air each week. I loved the quality of the program, the characters, the school setting.  I was just telling a friend yesterday that I can't pick a favorite character; I like all the characters equally on the show.  The personalities are different, but they work well together.  I also loved to see what clothes Jo, Tootie, Natalie, Blair and Mrs. Garrett would wear each week. Especially Blair.  She was the fashionista.

The girls behind the characters are women now, and they have their own unique fashion sensibilities.  The facts of fashion for all of them is to be comfortable and classy.

Phenomenal Peter Pilotto Prints

The dresses speak for themselves.  The design team of Peter Pilotto has a special gift of combining prints to make (ph)antastic clothes (lol).  May they continue the print experiment.

The Gradual Color Change

Isn't ombre a lovely color confection? One color blending into another to create a wonderful concoction for the eyes.
It's a wonderful way to bring more interest and appeal to fabrics and the garments made from them.

The Future and Today Combined in Design

Sarah Pacini is a designer I just read about this year. She's a designer who started her business in Belgium and now her collections are made in Italy.  This lady knows how to make contemporary clothes with a futuristic edge that makes her garments relevant today. We can look both current and modern.

Wood Clutches? Innovative!

I have a thing for clutches now.  Why?  They're not large in size, therefore I can't pack unecessary items.  They're sleek and feminine.  I've been making clutches made of recycled fabrics with wrist bands, and creating different designs and textures for interest.  They're the next best thing to crossbody bags.

I happened to click on a link to Etsy.com from my e-mail, and saw something incredible and original.  Wood clutches!  What an innovative idea.  A strong material used to make a ladies' accessory.  And they look attractive.
