More to Denim than Just Jeans

Denim for generations has been associated mainly with making pants.  It's been very reliable, comfortable, casual,  and everyone, well, almost everyone, well, almost everyone has a pair in their closet.
I believe years ago I posted a blog on denim.  I, today, was looking at fashion online and came across a jumper dress/gown in denim that caught my eye.  More searching and I'm very impressed with what sewers and designers have made with this hardy fabric.  I want to know why we don't see more people wearing these clever and artistic garments.  Maybe I need to be an example and design and wear an innovative denim piece....

Classic 60's Dressing

The 1960's, wasn't it a wonderful time on this planet?  I wouldn't know, I was a little child in the midst of that decade, but what I've heard on the radio and seen on television looked absolutely intriguing.  The culture, the music, the fashion, the causes....I believe the 60's was one of the most  pivotal times.

There are moments when I wish I was a teenager in the 60's to be a part of what was a crucial and creative era.  I have to say I'd have loved wearing the dresses associated with that period.

Suddenly I Love Scarves!

I have been away for a while.  If you noticed, it was around 2020.  I should have made some comment, but I suppose a lot of us have been overwhelmed with the events since then, yes?

I decided, suddenly, either Monday or Tuesday of this week, why not continue with the fashion blog?  I was looking at scarves and thought, you know, why not post my favorite fashion again?  I'm older, I hope wiser, and I love sharing my fashion thoughts with you.

I made a couple sample scarves a couple months ago, just experimenting and wanting to use the fragments of fabric I had.  I loved my design ideas and I started wearing my designs.  I loved the maturity and sophistication they added to even the basic t-shirt or blouse.  I loved how the scarves seemed to protect my neck from cold and keep it warm and also hide the look of ageing (that's for the mature ladies such as myself, lol).

Above are a few interesting ways to wear scarves, which I will experiment with.  There are quite a number of other ways to wear scarves which you can google.  I hope to post some additional ways to accessorise with scarves for you, maybe in a couple posts from now.

I wish you a Happy New Year 10 days into January 2024, and I hope you have new goals to attain to and complete goals made prior.  Have a great rest of this week!

Well Take a Look at These Sleeves...

Recently, the clothing designs I've worked on included experimenting with unusual sleeve designs.  I like to see one or two new details on a garment to bring interest and attention to it and to the one wearing it.

These lovely, refreshingly new, and oh, not so boring sleeve designs were discovered on Pinterest are just what I enjoy seeing.  Thank you to the designers of these creations.

A Taste of Space..

I just love futuristic action movies, futuristic architecture, space inspired clothes.  One of my favorite space movies, Star Trek Beyond,  had several wonderful costumes.  One was worn by the character Jaylah Cosplay which I give two thumbs up.  The clothes below, by designers Louis Vuitton and Proenza Schouler, have the same vibe and energy as space influenced wardrobes.  These designs are looking and moving forward...
