White Nights

Did you watch the SAG awards?  Most likely the fashion worn there is a high indication of what is currently vogue.  It looks as if white is a popular color to wear for an evening out.  If you get a chance, surf the net to see how many ladies, and at least one man, were wearing white Sunday evening.

White isn't just for weddings or communions anymore...

Men Wear It Well

I have to repeat from my previous blog, aren't the men looking good these days.  I love the variety of clothing combinations men are wearing today.  I may have said in the past that men wore basic clothes (not my exact words, but similar to what I meant), but I'll have to take my words back!  Men are really expressing themselves through fashion.

Mature Men Fashioning

It's not only the young that have fashion sense.  Older men and women have it too, and we need to see more of the mature age group, in photos online and in magazines, showing their wonderful styles.  Mature men are featured today, and don't they look fine?

Trendy Olympic Uniforms 2016

I'm just enjoying the Rio Olympics, aren't you? Unfortunately, I didn't see the complete opening ceremony (saw over half).  I fell asleep, but not because I was bored.  I'll be drinking coffee during the closing ceremony to make sure I'm awake for the entire program.

We're now into the second week which includes one of my top favorite sports to watch, track and field.  So I'll be riveted to the tv for these next few days.

I think many of the uniforms worn during the opening ceremony (the ones I saw, and the ones I found online) for the Olympics were just on the mark.  Colors  and silhouettes were fun and somewhat experimental, if that can be said, for the start of a world competition.

Shout out to the Canadian medal winners! And to the other medal winners from a few other countries I was also rooting for!  Here are just a few of the winning uniforms. Wish I could post all my favorites.

Neo Soul Style

Neo Soul.... do you know I just learned this term last week?  I was researching one of the late 80's early 90's bands by the name of Soul II Soul.  They're a British band, or rather, a neo soul band.  Loved their music, and definately loved their style.

Definition of Neo Soul?  A musical mix of R&B, 70s soul and hip hop.   Neo Soul style? A mix of of the same 3 genres producing clothing full of soul.

The Hawaiian Perspective

Hawaii is a very beautiful island.  It's one of the destinations at the top of my list when I dream about places I'd like to visit.  Although, the long flight over the ocean would be very trying for me;  I'd be wearing the life vest the airline provides for the entire flight (lol).

Hawaiian clothing is just as attractive as the island itself. The distinctive prints and bright lively colors reflect the people who wear this island's fashion.

Men's Streetstyle 2015

It's very interesting to see what men are wearing this year.  From the pics I've seen online, there seems to be a gradual change in men's style of dress from what we've been used to.  And it's time... Women change constantly, that's a given, but men take a while to change their looks.

The men's streetstyles  posted are from London, Milan and Toronto and Paris.  Do you like what you're seeing?

Suit and Tie - In Living Color

Been noticing quite a few male tv personalities wearing suits. News hosts and entertainers in particular who we've been used to seeing dressed casually.  Suits do give one a distinguished air, a polished professional look.  The suited man, or woman, is taken more seriously.

The default colors for suits are usually black and dark grey.  Colorful suits have been among the collections of designers from last year signifying time for change with men's clothes.  This year colorful suits are also among the 2013 collections. Gentlemen,  have fun while portraying professionalism,

Appreciating Men's Fashion

I don't make men's clothing, but I decided to post pictures of men's clothing this week.  Most men wear the basics I guess.  As I've heard, they buy only what they need (the majority do; I'm sure there's a minority that just has to buy whatever is in fashion).

This is for the men out there, and for the women who have significant others.  You might get an idea of what to buy for yourself, and in the women's case, for your man.

The grey and khaki colored clothing just gives me a cool feeling, like a fresh breeze blowing, like sitting by a body of water.  If we have a heatwave next summer, I may very well focus on white, khaki and grey fabric for next year's spring and summer five piece line of SK Clothes.
