C/Meo Collective - A Fresh Perspective on Fashion

Here is a fresh interpretation of ladies' fashion.  I just love the ideas.  These clothes were designed by C/Meo Collective.  Isn't it great to have so many fashion ways of expressing our personalities?  Some of these designs would be how I'd express myself...  The designer, C/Meo Collective.   The website,  cmeocollective.com.

South African Fashion Stand Out....

There are some places that, when you observe the fashion sense, you just know you're not in some place like.... North America.   The style is that unique.  Maybe there's more to the tone of style than just clothes, it's the culture, the music, the ambience, the people.  Is there one word to describe all this?  South Africa is such a place...

Sophisticated Sunday Suits

Such a difference between ladies' suits for the office and ladies' suits for church.  I love looking at the stylish and colorful suits for church attending ladies.  If you can think of a suitable silhouette and find a fantastic bright solid color or print fabric, you're good to go.  The matching hats are incredible and must take a lot of time to create.
Just wondering... are there hat competitions?

Does anyone remember the evening soap opera Dynasty?  Well, the aqua and white suit reminds me of that program.    Just for fun, which suit above do you think I'd wear?

2016 Spring Clothing Scene

It's time to look at spring/summer designs for 2016. Especially since this is February, it's cold, and many are looking forward to warm weather.

What I chose to post are some of my favorite looks.  The looks are so varied, as well as the color schemes.  I thought some of the clothes were for fall.  No matter, anything goes for this spring!

Looking at Spring Jackets

Greatly relieved to experience 6 - 9 degrees Celcius temperatures the past few days!  I'm starting to think about what to make for my spring wardrobe.  I have a spring jacket (actually it's the length of a spring coat) that I have to alterate.  Which got me thinking about the jackets women may be wearing for spring 2015.  Let's have a look at a few...

The Right Coat for You

I'm one to encourage women to cover themselves with color for the cold weather. I love seeing the lively hues against the white snow and grey days.
Against my better judgement, I've been seriously thinking of purchasing a black quilted hip length winter coat for the cold season.  If I'm correct, I've never owned a black coat before.  I'll fight the urge though....There's so many beautiful styles of coats with many color choices made with wool, acrylic knit, those made of man-made fibres, leather....  Which coat is right for you this winter?

Looking Ahead to Spring 2014

I viewed some videos showing collections for spring 2014 presented at  Fashion Week in New York, Milan, Paris and London.  I'd say overall, the design influences are the 60's and the 70's with a twist.  I don't have a problem with that at all.

You know when you see something that just gets your attention, causes you to think "Wow!"?  These dresses did that for me. They're so unusual and lovely and feminine.  I'm not sure if I see 60's and 70's influence portrayed in these dresses though; correction - I do see a bit of these decades' influences.   I also see dresses that are trail blazers and will influence future designers.

The Cool and Calm Color Green

Green is a cool and calm color.  I don't see people wearing green clothes much though.  It's not a common color for garments.  Well, maybe green clothing will soon become a must have item one day.  It's such a nice shade.

Are you melting today like I am?  North America is going through one serious heat wave right now.  I'm posting green and white print dresses and a green dress with lace because, not only are they pretty and I'd like one, the visual gives me the impression of cool air, circulation, freshness and calm.

Just Delightful!

Yesterday, parts of eastern Canada and the US were hit with a snow storm.  My city usually misses the bad weather and areas around us are affected, but this time my city received quite a few centimetres of snow we haven't seen much of for about 4 years.  I don't mind the snow; I   used to get through the winter skating and tobogganning with my kids.  They're too old for that now, and so I'm so so ready for spring.

I was looking through a fashion magazine and saw a beautiful couture dress that just shouts "Spring!".  Can't wait for it!  Here are some ethereal dresses that makes me wait impatiently for that lovely season.  I just had to post two pictures from designer Georges Habeika; he has quite a few ethereal dresses in his collection.

Spring Forcast: Print Pants with Wider Silhouettes

I'm so happy about the pant designs that are in for this spring and summer season.  Many fashion designers are including print pants in wider cuts in their collections.  It's refreshing to see a garment that's been styled in the same way for a few seasons get an absolute overhaul (or in terms we understand today, "facelift").  This makes spring and summer fashion more enticing.  I'm hoping to see many girls, teens and women wearing the wide legged, harem and even straight legged pants, in prints.  I might post your picture in my blog.
