The Colors of Fall

It's fall again, and the weather has normalized the latter part of October in the GTA.  There was a very warm early October, and though I appreciated it, I was ready for sweaters and jackets.  Knowing that the weather is now cold, I now know how to dress daily, lol.

With the change in weather comes the change in clothes.  Autumn fashion can still be colorful now (as the yellow ensemble below depicts); it's the fabric and silhouettes that change somewhat.  I love the urban attire in this blog.

The Silhouette Takes Stage

Black has been one of the favorite colors for clothes for years now.  I'm going to guess the top colors for clothing are black and denim blue, both all time favorites and both colors that can be combined with any other color (white can be included as well with being paired with other colors).  Black is one of the colors for clothing considered sophisticated and timeless.

Fashionable black clothes are my focus today.  I'd say the main focus is on the silhouettes.  The clothing designs are, to me, current, streamlined, trendsetting.

Summer is here, heat wave is on!   It's a season to show who you are visually using clothes, hairstyles, accessories, colour....  I, like many of you do,  love see lots of colour in the warm seasons.   I love seeing new silhouettes in fashion as well.

Plaid and Gingham for Spring? Interesting...

I've been away from blogging for a few months, but I had to start blogging again.  Life has been a bit interesting in 2025, hasn't it?  Very unpredictable, very surprising and challenging for many.  But there are still rewarding and lovely parts to life this year as well, especially in small events and ordinary situations.

And what else is interesting?  I came across a fashion article on trends for Spring and Summer 2025.  One of the trends is plaid clothing.  Plaid, to me, has been associated with shirts from my childhood, so to see that plaid is being redefined in different silhouettes and lighter and brighter colours is a nice surprise.  Gingham fabric is a form of plaid and usually uses two colours, one being white check.  Three of the garments posted here can be classified as gingham clothing.

Wear the Flags

Did you watch the 2024 Olympics in France?  The opening ceremony left me with questions, but the presentation of the countries athletes of course was the best part of the ceremony.   One of my favorite sports in the Olympics is the long distance race.  The absolute determination to push through to the end is so admirable.  

For some reason I chose to google dresses in flag colors.  Maybe many of you already knew there were dresses using flag colors, but I didn't.   I was pleasantly surprised at the image responses that came up during my search.

Did you know there are numerous pant styles for ladies?  I forgot about the other styles available for ladies as the popular silhouette today is the close fit, tight leg pants.  Myself, I prefer the semi- fit to loose-fit pants that allow freedom of movement.

I love maxi dresses.  I love the flowing long skirts, the coverage,  the femininity of maxi dresses.  Adding one to your wardrobe for the spring and summer season should be a requirement,  that's just my opinion, lol.

Ladies' tops can show a woman's fashion sense.  The top is one garment that is designed in multiple ways, using pleats, gathers, draping, etc. while, I find, the variety of pant designs, for example, aren't in abundance.   Blouses can be the main focus of an outfit in countless cases.  The variety of detail, colors, and sleeve designs are many.
